Assign Bibs & Chips

Modified on 17 January

RunSignUp includes the capability for race directors and timers to assign bib and chip numbers in a multitude of ways.

In the following guides we will cover how to use the many different ways to assign bibs with RunSignUp, and a few different scenarios in which you may want to use one type of assignment over another.

Before we do any bib assignment, you'll want to make sure that any entries that you've taken offline should be imported to RunSignUp by using our import feature. Follow this guide to import your paper registrations: https://runsignup.com/How-To/Paper-Entries.

Use this option if you'd like bib numbers to be given to registrants as they register

Import Bib and Chip Numbers

Manually Assign Bib and Chip Numbers

Use this option if you'd like to quickly assign a few bib numbers by looking up athletes and typing in their bib assignments
