Bulk Import Members
You can bulk import members into your membership organization by using a CSV file. Bulk imports like this allow your organization to easily migrate to our Membership Product.

How to Import Members
To import members, go to Memberships >> Imports >> CSV Import.
Please note, we limit CSV file uploads to 500 members at a time. If you have more than 500 members, you will need to break your spreadsheet into separate CSV files.
The first step is to upload your CSV file.
On the next step, you will select if Row 1 is a header row or data row. We highly recommend that your imported CSV file have titles in row 1, the header row. It allows each column data to be imported into the right field in the Membership Organization.
You will then map the fields in your CSV file to the membership organization fields.
When you upload the spreadsheet, we try to match the columns in your spreadsheet (on the right) to the stand fields we allow to be imported (on the left). If they do not auto-match, you can match them with the drop-down option showing all possible fields.
You will then choose the date format is this is different than the given format.
You will then click Start Import to import the members from the file into the club.
Required Fields for Single Member Memberships
There are certain fields that are required for importing members into our Membership product, depending on how the membership organization is set up. In an organization with a limit of only one person per membership, only First Name, Last Name, Member Level, Start and End Dates are required.
You will import these fields:
- First and Last Name
- Membership Level Name -- these are the membership levels that you set up when you created your membership organization
- Start and End Date Columns -- this is when the imported members' memberships started and ended. We support a variety of date formats.
Here is an example CSV file that you can use to get started with a simple example.
Required Fields for Multi-Member Memberships
There are two additional fields required for multi-member memberships.
- External ID -- This is a number that will link each family where there are multiple members. There is typically a common ID number that would tie the people to a single membership when they are coming from another system.
- Primary Member -- This is for Membership Levels that have multiple levels. This is either T or F for True or False. Blank is also treated as False. We also support "Yes and "No", "Y" and "N", "True" and "False". If you have family memberships with multiple members, you will need to designate one of those people to be the primary member.
Here is an example CSV file for importing both individual and family members.
Manage Member Imports
You can manage all of the imports you have done for the organization. This allows you to view each import separately, as well as delete an entire import if needed.
This is done from the same import page by going to Memberships >> Imports and clicking the Manage Members Imports drop-down.
