RaceDay Checkin App: Setup

The RaceDay Checkin App works with RunSignup's registration platform to allow you to see live data for registrants of your race.

This will pull in any participants that have registered for the race and any that you have imported and allow you to mark them as checked in, see giveaway items, and any other custom questions you may have asked. The app gives you an easy way to quickly checkin your participants and streamline the race day process.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

RunSignup App Setup

To use the Checkin App, you first need to set up the Checkin App within the RunSignup dashboard by navigating to RaceDay Tools >> RaceDay Checkin >> Mobile App.

You just need to set a password and the dates that you want to allow your race to show in the Checkin App:

The shared password is what will be entered to securely access the race within the Checkin App.

The enable/disable checkin at dates determine what dates your race is accessible within the Checkin App.

Helpful Tips:

  • Set your password hint as your actual password to make it easier to remember. Only people with RunSignup dashboard access will be able to see the hint.
  • You can only see your race in the app within the enabled date period. If you need to test, set the enable date to today.

Checkin App Setup

To access the race in the app, you will need to set up the app in your mobile device. To do this, download the green "RaceDay Checkin" app from the App Store.

iPhone: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/raceday-checkin/id1434451638

Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.runsignup.rdcheckin

Once you open the app, click the gear icon in the top-right corner and select "Change Device Name." Name your device a unique identifier, as this will be how reports are generated for each device.

Locating Your Race

To find your race in the app, type the race name in the search box at the top. Once you click on the race name, your will be prompted to enter the Checkin App password that you set within RunSignup. You will only be prompted for this the first time that you access the race.

You are automatically set to checkin participants, but if you would like to switch to volunteer checkin, you can select the three stacked lines in the top-right corner and click the line labeled "Volunteer Checkin"

**If you don't see your race in the Checkin App, check the RunSignup dashboard date settings. You must be within the Start and End Dates to access the race.**
