RaceDay Operations

Modified on 23 August

This guide will walk you through how to begin syncing data from RaceDay Scoring to RaceJoy on race day.

These steps will be all done in RaceDay Scoring. There are two main parameters to begin syncing data. They are:

1. Selecting and turning on the RaceJoy Connector

2. Setting a start time for each scored event.

Once you've turned on the RaceJoy connector and set a start time for the scored event, when chip data is steamed into RaceDay Scoring for that scored event, they will be sent over to RaceJoy. Now let's take a look at the setup.

The first step is to turn on the RaceJoy connector. We recommend turning this on before the race begins. You will see that the status will show

After turning the RaceJoy connector, you will see that status bar is now Yellow and letting you know that we are missing Start Times for specific events. In the example below we are missing start times for the 5K.

Next let's set the start time for the 5K. There are a few ways to do this. You can pull in a gun trigger, or you can manually set the start time from the homepage of RaceDay Scoring or from the Scored Event panel. Once you've set the start time, you will see that your RaceJoy connector status has turned green and you are streaming data to RaceJoy.

IMPORTANT: If you have multiple scored events, your status will not turn to green until all of your scored events have a start time. We will send all data for scored events to RaceJoy that have a start time set.

For example: You have a 5K that starts at 9 AM and a half marathon that starts at 10 AM

At 9 AM you set the start time of the 5K. Data will begin to stream to RaceJoy but your status will still show yellow until the start time of the half marathon is set. At 10 AM your half marathon begins and you set your start time and begin streaming data to RaceJoy. Your status will then turn green.
